As part of this commitment we aim to make it very easy for our customers to find out what ingredients we use, why each ingredient is used and where it comes from.
Our products are made for sensitive skin, making them great for all skin types. Due to this we have an extensive list of ingredients that we don't use for various reasons. You can check our the list of ingredients we don't use here. But now onto the ones we do!
Allantoin
Allantoin is a skin-soothing and moisturising ingredient and is the best friend of people with sensitive skin! This ingredient even helps stimulate the growth of new skin tissue. Allantoin comes from the root of the comfrey plant, which is a herb.

Aloe Vera Juice (aka aloe barbadensis cellulose)
Aloe Vera Juice comes from the clear gel part of the Aloe plant. This ingredient binds to moisture and forms a protective film for the skin (this is why it is used in sun-burn gel!). Aloe Juice also aids the protection of the skins outer layer.

Argan Oil (aka Saponified Argania Spinosa Oil)
Argan oil is a non-fragrant plant oil which contains several lipids beneficial to the skin. Argan oil is also a source of Vitamin E which helps to clean the skin while not stripping it of its natural oils.

Benzyl Alcohol (aka Benzenemethanol)
Benzyl Alcohol is a naturally occuring ingredient in fruits and teas. It is added to skincare products as a preservative, as it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. We use a fragrance free version of this ingredient and it is used as less than 0.1% of any of our products, so as to not cause any irritation.

Ceramide (Ceramide Complex K)
Ceramides are long chain fats (lipids) that are critical for water retention in skin. Ceramides are derived from wheat germ.

Cetearyl Alcohol (aka Alkyl Alcohol)
Cetearyl Alcohol unlike other alcohol is a beneficial emulsifying agent which helps to stablise the product formula. It is also used as a surfactant which means it is also used to thicken the product.

Cetearyl Olivate
Cetearyl Olivate is a skin conditioning ingredient made from the fatty acids derived from olive oil.

Cocoyl Glutamate (aka Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate)
Cocoyl Glutamate is a plant based foaming agent made from coconuts. This ingredient helps to give our cleanser those tiny bubbles when you rub it into your face with water.

Cucumber Seed Extract (aka Cucumis Sativus Seed Extract)
Cucumber seed extract is used to condition and soothe the skin.

Demineralised Water (aka aqua)
Filtered water is used in beauty products as normal water has components that may interfere with a products performance.

Fractionated Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a non-fragrant plant kernel oil which has emollient properties for the skin. Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and can increase the antioxidant content in skin.

Geoguard ECT
Geoguard is a broad-spectrum preservative that protects products against all types of bacteria that may grow within them. This ingredient is made from a mix of Sorbic Acid and Salicylic Acid.

Glycerin
The glycerin used in our products comes from soy. Glycerin is a humectant (moisturising agent) that helps your skin retain moisture. This ingredient is also a protectant which serves as a solvent in products. Our glycerin comes from coconut oil.

Glyceryl Stearate Citrate
Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is used as a thickener in products. This ingredient is an ester (mix) of citric acid and glyceryl stearate. The ingredient is made by mixing coconut oil based glycerin and orange based citric acid.

Grapeseed Oil (aka Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil)
Grape Seed Oil is a thin oil that has strong antioxidant properties. We use this ingredient in our products as it is thinner in texture than other oils on the market and is non-fragrant. Grape Seed oil is harvested from the seeds of the grape plant, vitis vinifera. The seeds are a byproduct of the wine industry and the use of grape seed oil ensures less wastage of the grape.

Green Tea Extract (aka Camellia Sinensis Extract)
Green Tea Extract is a skin soothing and antioxidant ingredient.

Hyaluronic Acid (aka hyaluronan)
Hyaluronic acid boosts skin's moisture content and replenishes the skin barrier. This ingredient has also been proven to visibly decrease depth of facial lines, decrease surface texture and keep skin hydrated for longer. Fun Fact: hyaluronic acid has the ability to hold 1,000 times its own weight in water! Hyaluronic acid is also used to increase the viscosity of products. Our hyaluronic acid comes from the fermentation process of the exterior wall of Streptococcal bacteria, which is the only vegan source of this ingredient.

Hydroxyethylcellulose
Hydroxyethylcellulose is a modified cellulose polymer ingredient that serves a binding, stabilising and thickening purpose in products. This ingredient is a natural gum derived from Pine and Spruce trees.

Jojoba Esters
Jojoba Esters are an excellent emollient and skin conditioner. Emollients soften the skin by filling gaps between skin cells so your skin is soft to the touch!

Jojoba Oil (aka buxus chinensis oil)
Jojoba oil is a conditioning ingredient in skincare products. It is also used to help control the thickness of a product to ensure the consistency is just right! Jojoba oil is also an emollient which helps to soften and hydrate the skin. Fun fact: Jojoba oil is actually a polyunsaturated wax!

Kakadu Plum Extract (aka terminalia ferdinandiana extract)
Kakadu Plum Extract is a stable, natural and active form of vitamin c, which is water soluble. Kakadu Plum is grown in the Kimberleys and Arnhem Land and has been used for over sixty-thousand years by Australia’s First Peoples as traditional medicine and food.

Lactic Acid
Lactic acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) which is a mild exfoliate. This ingredient is used to brighten skin tone while cleansing, and is used in small quantities. The lactic acid we use is derived from fermented vegetables.

Licorice Extract
Licorice extract is a soothing ingredient in skincare. It is also full of antioxidants and can sooth red and irritated skin.

Lilli Pilli/Lilly Pilly Extract (aka Acmena Smithii)
Lilly Pilly extract is a powerful native antioxidant. It is harvested from the Lilly Pilly Tree found along the northern NSW coastline.

Mountain Pepper Berry Extract
Mountain Pepper Berry Extract is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-acne ingredient. It comes from the Mountain Pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata) plant native to the cool forests of Tasmania.

Nipaguard SCE
Nipaguard SCE is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent used as a natural and vegan preserve in skincare products. This ingredient is non-irritating. It is added to our product to prevent the growth of microorganisms and preserve your product for longer. Nipaguard is made by mixing sorbitol (sugar from corn) and caprylic acid from coconuts.

Olive Squalane
Olive squalane is an ingredient that replicates human sebum which lubricates and moisturises the skin. Squalane acts as a natural guard to pollutants and irritants in your environment. Squalane replenishes fatty-acids and antioxidants to keep your skin hydrated for longer.

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract
Rice Extract is a skin softening ingredient which is rich in more than 100 antioxidant compounds and ferulic acid. This ingredient is also a chelating ingredient meaning it stablisies the formula and improves the efficacy of the product.

Papaya Extract (aka Carica Papaya Extract)
Papaya extract has gentle exfoliating properties on the skin. It is used in small quantities in our cleanser to help remove dirt and build up from your face while leaving the skin feeling hydrated.

Pomegranate Seed Oil (aka Punica Granatum Oil)
Pomegranate seed oil is a nourishing ingredient rich in vitamin c. Pomegranate oil is also full of antioxidants and also has anti-inflammatory benefits.

Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is an emollient which helps to soften the skin while providing antioxidants to the skin. Emollients soften the skin by filling gaps between skin cells so your skin is soft to the touch!

Salicylic Acid (aka Hydroxy-benzoic Acid)
Salicylic Acid is an exfoliating ingredient friendly for sensitive skin. This ingredient also allows ingredients to penetrate the pore lining and exfoliate inside the pore. In our products we use SA in very low quantities so as to not over-irritate the skin. This ingredient comes from the bark of Willow Trees.

Shea Butter (aka butyrospermum parkii butter)
Shea butter is a skin conditioning ingredient that also helps control the viscosity in products (ensuring that the product isn’t too thin and runny!)

Sorbic Acid (aka 4-Hexadienoic Acid)
Sorbic Acid is a preservative which is naturally derived from Mountain Ash Berries. It is used to prevent the growth of mold, yeast and fungi in products.

Sorbitan Olivate (aka Anhydrosorbitol Monoolivate)
Sorbitan Olivate is an ingredient that comes from olive oil and sorbitol (sugar). This ingredient is an emulsifier meaning that it stabilises the formula of the product it is in.

Sunflower Oil (aka helianthus annuus oil)
Sunflower oil is a skin hydrating and softening plant lipid. Sunflower Oil also assists with emollient properties of a product. Emollients soften the skin by filling gaps between skin cells so your skin is soft to the touch!

Xanthan Gum (aka Polysaccharide B 1459)
Xanthan Gum is an ingredient added to products to bind together the other ingredients, increase product thickness and condition the skin. Xanthan gum is derived from sugar, in the form of corn or soy.

Vitamin B3 (aka Niacinamide)
Vitamin B3 or Niacinamide is a skin soothing, barrier restoring and antioxidant rich ingredient. This ingredient is known for evening skin tone as well as reducing pore size. Our niacinamide is derived from nicotinic acid found in yeast and grains.

Vitamin B5 (aka panthenolic acid)
Vitamin B5 is a hydrating ingredient that attracts and retains moisture in the skin. This ingredient helps to reduce sensitivity, improve skin barrier and can reduce redness in the skin. Our B5 comes from a natural source being brown rice and oats.

Vitamin C (aka Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin C is a very popular antioxidant product to brighten skin tone, soothe skin and combat signs of aging. Our vitamin C comes from Ascorbic acid and is from a fruit source (lemon, orange and strawberry).

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a well-known antioxidant which occurs naturally in our skin. Vitamin E can be depleted by sun exposure and other environmental causes. Our Vitamin E is a naturally derived form and comes from sunflower and safflower oils.
